Modernisation:
2000 - 2003
The Water Power Plants Complex Solina - Myczkowce is located on the San River. It is situated in exceptionally picturesque surroundings, in the area of the Bieszczady hills. The Complex is composed of two power plants and two reservoirs. The Myczkowskie Lake is ten times smaller the Solińskie Lake and the power output of the Myczkowce power plant is seventeen times lower than that of the Solina power plant.
Solina is an important pumped storage power plant in Poland. The installed power output before the modernisation amounted to 136 MW and after modernisation it amounts to 200 MW. It is composed of 4 hydro - systems. It is located at the foot of the highest Polish dam of the heavy type. The slope that can be used here is 60 meters. 760 000 cubic meters of concrete were used to build the dam. The upper reservoir of the power plant is the biggest artificial lake in Poland.

It is a pumped storage power plant of a derivational type: the dammed up waters of the Bóbr River run in the canal, passing the Krzywaniec weir, to the retention reservoir in Dychów. Its total capacity is 4 million cubic meters of water.
